Clip Art Frenzy. Let it load while you make yourself a cup of tea. Quite an effort to make - a work of art I reckon. No, not your cup of tea. (pun) click for 787 Cliparts

It needs music, so why not try CCR's fortunate son (next post). They go so well together I might have to mash the two together myself. With a cup of tea too prolly.

Creedence Clearwater Revival: Fortunate Son

Oh. This has much goodness in it. 1969. Click for Creedence Clearwater Revival: Fortunate Son

As with all videos, press 'pause', be patient, and let it load completely before you try to play it :)

Brilliant camera panning in the video btw.

Here are the lyrics. Sing along.

Some folks are born made to wave the flag,
ooh, they're red, white and blue.
And when the band plays "Hail To The Chief",
oh, they point the cannon at you, Lord,

It ain't me, it ain't me,
I ain't no senator's son,
It ain't me, it ain't me,
I ain't no fortunate one, no,

Some folks are born silver spoon in hand,
Lord, don't they help themselves? oh.
But when the taxman come to the door,
Lord, the house look a like a rummage sale, yes,

It ain't me, it ain't me,
I ain't no millionaire's son, no, no.
It ain't me, it ain't me,
I ain't no fortunate one, no.

Yeh, some folks inherit star spangled eyes,
ooh, they send you down to war, Lord,
And when you ask them, how much should we give,
oh, they only answer, more, more, more, yoh,

It ain't me, it ain't me,
I ain't no military son, SON, NO
It ain't me, it ain't me,
I ain't no fortunate one, NO NO

It ain't me, it ain't me,
I ain't no fortunate one, no no no,
It ain't me, it ain't me,
I ain't no fortunate son, son son son

Potatobugs are really nasty

Potato bugs are really nasty little buggers. Find out just how nasty they are on Potatobugs.com

The FAQs are fabulous, here's an excerpt:
"Q: I have potato bugs in my vegetable garden. How can I rid myself of these pesky critters?
A: Drench your entire yard with gasoline and set it ablaze. Once the fire has burned itself out and the ground has cooled, cultivate the soil to a depth of seven feet, saturate the area with battery acid and top the surface with gasoline. After a few minutes, most of the surviving potato bugs, now irritated, will burrow up for air. Set the yard on fire again, and let it burn itself out. The remaining bugs should be crisped. Add water. Only then, and only maybe, will you rid yourself of potato bugs."

Don't Worry, Be Happy on a Theramin

As the blurb says... "The theremin is one of the earliest fully electronic musical instruments. Invented in 1919 by Russian Léon Theremin, the theremin is unusual in that it requires no physical contact in order to produce music and was, in fact, the first musical instrument designed to be played without being touched. The instrument consists of an array of circuitry including two antennas around which the user moves his or her hands to play." The Beach Boys had one so it must be cool... it's kinda interesting in a historical way... but boring. Sorry.... Click for Don't Worry, Be Happy on a Theramin

The Pink Floyd, London '66 - '67

A video compilation with the Floyd at their early best. From (as the footage reminds us) when boys looked like girls and girls looked like boys. The 'look' must have been shocking then. But I don't think anyone's had the nerve to make music like this since.

The track is Interstellar Overdrive. It's the last time Syd Barrett played live with the Floyd. Footage includes one of Yoko Ono's 'happenings' where men cut a woman's clothes off with scissors. John Lennon makes a cameo appearance, but it was before he'd even met Yoko.

The 'happening' was called the '14 hour technicolour dream'. Alan Ginsberg was there too.

30 minutes of great stuff. Wait for it to download. Click for The Pink Floyd, London '66 - '67
