Patent absurdity

Richard Stallman explains in the Guardian how copyright law on software could ruin future creativity.

He shows the effect current copyright law would have had on Victor Hugo's 'les Miserables' had today's laws been passed in the 19th century. Basically, all literature would have stopped.
